We acknowledge and appreciate the faith you put in us with Your information. This Privacy policy lays down the type of information You provide us and how We collect, use and maintain it. It does not control or govern Third-party website links or features on Our App.
By using Our App or availing its Services or features You consent to this Privacy Policy and Our Terms and Conditions (“User Terms”).

The Information You Provide Us
1.1 The information You provide us is divided into the following categories:
(i) Information provided by You for using our platform (for login to access our Services), elaborated in clause 1.2 (a) & (b);
(ii) Information you choose to share with us (during positing an Ad(s), rating an Ad(s), reporting an Ad(s), and when using the chat for conversing with another user), elaborated in clause 1.3;
(iii) Sensitive personnel information stored in encrypted form, elaborated in clause 1.4 and;
(iv) Information of the device you are using, elaborated in clause 1.5.
1.2 The personal information you provide us during Registration for accessing Our services:
(i) We collect the following information based on the option You choose to log in:
•Continue with Phone: Your Phone Number
•Continue with Google: Your selected Gmail Email Id.(only, if you have made it public in the settings, will be used by us)
•Continue with Facebook: Your Facebook account details (whichever you have used to create Your Facebook account and have made it public in your Facebook setting).
•Sign in with Apple: Your Apple Id. (Ios Users)
•Sign in with Email: Your email address. (Users outside India)
(ii) Basic Information
The information collected during login depending on the option You choose may not state some of the information required to complete the registration and thus You have to provide us with the following information:
•Your photo
•First name; (mandatory)
•Country code; (mandatory)
•Your Phone Number; (mandatory)
•State; (mandatory)
•Email;
•Age; (mandatory)
•Gender; (mandatory)
In case You choose not to provide us with the information, You may not be able to access most of Our Services. The basic information will be displayed on the profile page of the App and can’t be viewed by other Users.
1.3 Information You choose to share with us for using Our Services
1.3.1. To post Ad(s) Users have to choose any one out of the five options:
(Residential)
Upload Photos and Video, Rent/Lease or Sell (choose one), Property Title, Phone Number, Address (Google location will be used), Category, Furnishing (optional), Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Floors (optional), Availability (optional), Monthly maintenance (optional), Requirement, Facilities, Area (optional), Price, Description (optional).
(Commercial)
Upload Photos and Video, Rent/Lease or Sell (choose one), Property Title, Phone Number, Address (Google location will be used), Category, Furnishing (optional), Building type (optional), Floors (optional), Availability (optional), Monthly maintenance (optional), Area (optional), Facilities, Price, Description (optional).
Upload Photos and Video, Full Name, Phone Number (optional), Category, Skills (Talent, profession, or job), Firm/Business (You write the name of your firm, clinic, or shop or you can simply write freelance if you do not own a business), Experience, Location (Google location will be used), Charges/Fees (optional), Description (optional).
- Vehicles:
Upload Photos and Video, City, Address (Google location will be used), Vehicle Type, Brand Name, Model, Year, KM/Miles Driven, Price, Fuel, Transmission, No. of Owners, Phone Number, Describe your vehicle in detail.
- Wanted:
Upload Photos and Video, Ad title, Phone Number, Email (optional), Address (Google location will be used), Min Price, Max Price, Wanted, Describe your need.
- Others:
Upload Photos and Video, Sell or Rent/Lease (Choose One), Ad Title, Phone Number, Email (optional), Address (Google location will be used), Price, Describe in detail want you are Selling/Renting.
1.3.2. Rate Ad
Users can rate Ads based on their experiences with the services or products. The rating is made public.
1.3.3. Report This Ad
Users can report an ad under any one of the five categories namely:
1. Offensive Content
2. Fraud
3. Duplicate Ad
4. Product Sold
5. False Information
6. Others
Choose any one of the above given, add a comment and press submit.
1.3.4. Chat
Users can make use of the chat services available on the app for communicating or exchanging detail with other Users of the app.

1.4 The information related to the safety of Your Account is stored for your convenience in Our App:
•All User data in transit is stored in encrypted form.
•Your Password (stored in encrypted form)
This will maintain the privacy of Your account. It is solely Your responsibility not to share it and protect it. Any activity from Your Account is deemed to be done by You.
1.5 Automatic collection of information
The information that is collected merely by Your logging into Our App comes under this category. The Information regarding Your device is collected automatically (Your device name, operating system, and other identifiers).
How We Use The Information You Provide Us
2.1 To facilitate Your login, prevent unauthorized access and validate Your Account:
The personal information You provide us for login, we send You a verification code to check the validity of Your account and to confirm that a third party is not using Your details to make a false account. It is Your responsibility to make sure that Your information is safe and that there is no unauthorized access. Refer to clause 3 of User Terms for further understanding of Your obligations and responsibilities regarding the information.
2.2 To facilitate posting and viewing of Ad(s):
Personal information and details You provide to list in Your Ad is published on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
The image(s) and video uploaded during ad posting is published for public view on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
2.3 For verification
Go to My Ads and click on Verify My Ad: a request for the verification of your ad will be received at our end, We’ll go through your ad details and verify your direct ownership i.e. not a second party or third party; and if nothing inappropriate is found, Your Ad will be verified. No physical verification or monitoring is done and hence no submission of any documents is required. Your Ad will show a verified tag on getting verified. We encourage You to get your ad verified, thereby increasing Your chances of getting offers from Users on the platform.
2.4 Chats via Our App
If You use the Chat room on Our App to interact with the other Users, the data of Your chats will be monitored as mentioned in clause 6 of the User terms.
2.5 For easy and convenient payment/refund
Your payment details result in easy and convenient transactions and as per Our payment policy, mentioned in clause 4.1 of User Terms, the invoice generated will be helpful in the Refund/cancellation process, in case of malfunctioning of Your selected plans.
2.6 For safer and easier access to Our App and Services
Your passwords are stored in encrypted form so no one can access Your information on the App without Your permission.
2.7 For better and new Services
We may introduce better and new services based on consumer demand from time to time and provide an updated version of the App to facilitate it.
2.8 To Communicate with You
We use Your contact details (email or contact number) or in-app notification to communicate information with you, regarding the following:
1. In-app update
2. Privacy policy update
3. User terms update
4. Any information related to Our services or any suspicious activity we encounter.

Storage And Maintenance Of Information
3.1 Your information is stored in Third Party data servers and We store the information as mentioned above as long as it is required to provide You with a User-friendly interface and an effortless way to access Our Services. We make sure Your data is in safe and secure servers but We cannot control the actions of Third-party data servers. You understand and acknowledge that We are not responsible for the Third-party actions resulting in any leakage or misuse of Your data. You consent to such transfer and storage of data, in data servers by using Our App.
3.2 Since the transactions on a digital platform are susceptible to multiple risks, the loss, misuse, or leakage of Your information is beyond Our control. We do make reasonable efforts to keep Your information safe but the communication or transaction on the App has to be done at Your own risk. You hereby acknowledge and agree not to hold us liable for any loss, leakage, or misuse of information from using Our App and availing of Our services.
3.3 In order to comply with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, We will retain Your data for 180 days even after the deletion of Your Account or termination of Our agreement with You for the reasons mentioned in clause 14 of the User Terms.
Information Used By Third-Party Service Provider
4.1 Google Maps: For a collection of locations, we have Google maps integrated into Our App as it has well-established satellite services and thus You are subjected to its privacy policy on providing access to Your geographic location or place of Your business or Property or others.
4.2 Razorpay: During Payment, you are directed to Razorpay’s payment gateway wherein You are provided with different payment options. The Third-party service provider accesses your information (depending on the payment option You choose) and their Privacy policy governs it. For a better understanding of how They use your information, you can read their privacy policy. ( https://razorpay.com/privacy/ )
4.3 Stripe: During Payment outside India, you are directed to Stripe’s payment gateway wherein You are provided with different payment options. The Third-party service provider accesses your information (depending on the payment option You choose) and their Privacy policy governs it. For a better understanding of how They use your information, you can read their privacy policy. ( https://stripe.com/en-in/privacy/ )
4.4 Native ads: On our Home UI and on the Properties, Services, Vehicles, Wanted, and Others window, native ads run after every fourth Rentalex ad and there are also two native ads inside Rentalex ads above and below the details. Clicking on the native ad will redirect you to the Website of the Advertiser and You will be subjected to their privacy policy and the User Terms.
4.5 Reward video: Rentalex Gives you the opportunity to unlock the "next 5 ads" and "boost your ad" for one hour after watching a reward video, on the completion of the video two buttons will appear "Back" and "Visit page". Clicking on the "visit page", you will be redirected to the website of the advertiser and subjected to its privacy policy and the User Terms.
Third-Party Websites And Information Collected
We do not sell or share Your information with Third parties. When You use Our App, third-party websites may show ads and links to third-party websites. We have no control over it and the information is used by them as per their respective privacy policy. If You click on the ads by a Third-party website, You will be directed to their websites and Your information will be subjected to their privacy policy. It is Your responsibility to read and understand the Third-party website’s privacy policy.
If You share Your details from the App to any other social media sites or email, then the privacy policy of those sites may govern Your Personal Information.
Disclosure And Blocking Of Information
6.1 We have an obligation to disclose Your information if we are served with a legal notice regarding Your conduct or requests from government officials, public bodies, and relevant third parties in relation to any suspicious, fraudulent, or illegal transaction, infringement of intellectual property rights from the usage of Our App or Services. In good faith, We will disclose Your information in legal or judicial proceedings to assist in the process irrespective of the fact whether or not We are party to the proceedings.
6.2 We will block access to unlawful information within 36 hours upon an order from the Court or the government as per (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
6.3 We will report cyber security incidents and share related information with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team
Deletion Of The User Data
The User is given the option to delete all his user-generated data from our server via the app. If the User wants to delete the data, then in such an event, he merely has to click on the profile button at the bottom right of the navigation bar. On the Profile page, clicking the Account Settings option a dropdown will open displaying two options namely:
- Deactivate Account
- Delete My User Data
On Clicking the latter option i.e. Delete My User Data, all the User-generated data detailed above, will be deleted from our server.
Amendment To Privacy Policy
We have the right to change Our Privacy policy anytime and You have to check Our App periodically for any changes made. We may notify through a dedicated notification message that We have updated Our policy. The changes will be effective immediately.
Grievance Officer
For further information or any queries regarding Our privacy policy and User terms or any grievance in relation to Our App or Services, You can contact Our grievance officer. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 24 hours and disposed of within 15 days (excluding non-working days).
